Harris County deputy’s road assistance truck struck by stolen vehicle in NE Houston
Police Lights on top of car (KPRC2/Click2Houston.com)HOUSTON – A Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy’s truck was struck Tuesday morning by a stolen car, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
The incident was reported in the 7300 block of Interstate 610, eastbound at Kirkpatrick Boulevard exit.
Gonzalez said one of its Motorist Assistance Trucks (MAP), assigned to assist motorist on the roadways, was rear-ended.
The deputy has minor injuries from the crash, but expected to be OK.
The driver of the stolen vehicle and his passenger were detained.
