Cy-Fair ISD reinstates bus transportation for students in newly approved 2025-2026 budget

Big, but welcoming changes are coming back to the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD .
On Monday night, Cy-Fair ISD board members approved a $1.2 billion budget almost unanimously for the 2025-2026 school year.

Part of the budget includes reinstating bus transportation for students, including late buses, which were initially removed after sweeping budget cuts last year .
KPRC 2 has extensively covered the consequences of those cuts, which impacted several students.

For example, one concerned parent took our ReChelle Turner on a drive to reveal just how challenging her daughter’s walk to school really is.
“There’s no sidewalks. There are no sidewalks the entire route to the school,” she told Turner.
