LIVE RADAR: Strong thunderstorms firing off, creating flash flood risk across SE Texas

KPRC 2 Weather is tracking another round of severe thunderstorms pushing through the Houston area, not only making another messy start to your morning but also imposing a flash flood risk.

A Flood Watch is in effect until 7 PM for our northern and northwestern areas. Rain totals of 2 to 4 inches are expected in the highlighted green zones, with isolated spots possibly seeing up to 6 inches.

Street flooding remains possible in parts of Houston, as does the risk for hail and damaging winds.

Good news: The storms should move out by late afternoon.
