HOUSTON – Authorities are on the hunt for whoever shot and killed a man behind a grocery store in west Houston Monday night.
According to police, security video showed a dark SUV from which shots were fired at Sunrise Grocery on Elmside Drive near Westheimer Road around 10:30 p.m. That’s where an unidentified man and woman were walking, but the former was found dead behind the store.

It’s unclear what led up to the shooting, but police believe they were targeted.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to come forward by calling HPD’s Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
