Suspect crashes into Houston home during chase, injures sleeping man

A man sleeping inside his Houston home was injured early Saturday when a suspect crashed a stolen car into the house during a police chase, according to investigators.

Investigators said there was a brief chase, during which officers employed an approved stopping technique to end the pursuit.

Officers said the suspect crashed the vehicle into a home on Cotton and Bingle and then ran away.

Police said a 25-year-old man was sleeping inside the home at the time of the crash and sustained injuries.

The Houston Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said the suspect was detained. No word on if charges will be filed.
