TRAFFIC ALERT: Hazmat spill shuts down lanes on US 290 in west Harris County

If you’re heading eastbound on US 290 Tuesday evening, you’ll want to brace for delays or find another route.

Multiple mainlanes near Badtke Road are blocked after a hazmat spill brought traffic to a halt in West Harris County.

TxDOT crews are on the scene helping clean things up, but there’s no word yet on how long the closure will last.
