Man shot, killed while riding bike in Texas City

TEXAS CITY, TX – A 66-year-old man was shot and killed while riding his bike in Texas City.

Officers found a man near his bicycle unconscious on the shoulder on FM-517 and Avenue N at about 3:30 p.m. Friday.

The victim Glen Davis, 66, from San Leon, was found to have sustained a gunshot wound and died at a hospital.

Davis was well-known in the San Leon and Bacliff communities.

Detectives from the Texas City Police were interviewing family members, friends and people in the area.
