Heavy Wednesday morning thunderstorms prompts ground stop at George Bush Airport

The airport will be closed until at least 10:30 a.m., per the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
According to FlightAware, at least 11 flights have been delayed due to the flights but only 1 has been canceled.
Compared to Dallas flights, Houston is faring quite well, with more than 300 delays and at least 3 flights cancelled.
