HOUSTON – One person was transported to a hospital and another person was detained and has since been charged after a shooting just off the Sam Houston Parkway in northwest Houston.

The shooting happened in the 4300 block of W. Sam Houston Parkway, near the intersection with Clay Road.

Photos from the scene shows what appears to be a shattered window at a nearby McDonald’s.
Police at the scene say they were told one of the individuals was involved in a road rage incident off I-10.
The man who was shot was driving a pickup truck while the alleged shooter drove a blue car.
The man was struck in the chest and went inside the McDonald’s for help.
The suspect, identified by court documents as Kerry Hubbard, remained on scene until police arrived. He was taken into custody and has since been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
