Woman hides in backroom after man breaks into home, fires weapon in N. Harris County

HOUSTON – A man is behind bars after breaking into a woman’s home and firing his weapon early Friday morning in north Harris County, according to deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

Deputies were called to the home, located in the 2100 block of Brundage Drive, in response to a home invasion.

The homeowner said a man she knew, identified as Tzecones Wright, broke into her home and, at some point, discharged his weapon.

The woman stated that she was hiding in the back room of her home until help arrived.

Deputies searched the area, quickly found Wright, and detained him. They also recovered the firearm that was possibly used in the home invasion.

Wright was booked into the Harris County Jail and charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault and felon in possession of a firearm.

No bond has been set at this time.
