A man’s return home turned deadly Thursday night when someone opened fire on him while he sat in his parked car, according to HPD.
Officers responded to the shooting just after 11 p.m. in the 3500 block of N. MacGregor Way.
According to investigators, the teen had just parked and was sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle when someone opened fire through the passenger window.
The victim’s family told police they heard the gunshots from inside their home. The victim’s father said he saw someone running away from the scene moments after the shooting.
Police believe the man was shot multiple times. Investigators found several pistol shell casings at the scene.
The motive is unclear and no suspect description has been released. The investigation is ongoing.
