According to the Harris Co. Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, Stefan Stan and Florin Tomscu were at the Sam’s Club on E. Richey Road where they were seen scanning several credit cards in the self-checkout.

Further investigation revealed they were using Visa gift cards they cloned with fake EBT information to try and purchase 103 cases of Red Bull—valued at about $5,739.89.

When one of the arriving deputies confronted them, Tomscu punched one of the officers in the face, while Stan ran towards the woods.

A perimeter was established and with the help of the K9, constable deputies were able to find Stan and put him in handcuffs.
