A fight near a taco truck escalates to a deadly shooting in Spring Branch

Houston Police said that the incident happened on Kempwood drive near Campbell road in Northwest Harris County.

Officers said that one group broke the window of a pickup truck belonging to someone in the other group which lead to a physical altercation. Both groups then left the scene.

Investigators said that is when the man with the damaged pick up drove to the residence of someone in the opposing group. Officers said the man is accused of firing multiple gunshots, killing the man. About 10 minutes later, officers said that they responded to a second call a few blocks away where another victim was injured and taken to the hospital.

Homicide detectives are working to determine if the two groups knew each other before the fight.
