Police search for gunman after northwest Houston shooting; nearby AISD on lockdown

A man was shot near the intersection of W. Little York Road and Antoine Drive in northwest Houston on Wednesday afternoon, prompting a search for the suspect.
Houston police said the shooting happened around 12:35 p.m. at 5699 W. Little York. The victim, an adult man, was transported to the hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics. His condition has not been released.
Police said the suspect fled on foot. Officers, along with K9 units and the department’s Fox helicopter, are searching the area.
Nearby Aldine ISD schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution.
