A car crash into a fire hydrant caused street flooding and closures, according to HPD

Southwest Houston – According to Houston Police, at 3 a.m. On Saturday a car crashed into a fire hydrant at Hillcroft Avenue and Holly Street.

Officers shut down Hillcroft in both directions over night because of flooding caused by the fire hydrant. An officer at the scene said that there was not a definitive timeline as to when the street would reopen.
