Houston police are investigating after a 14-year-old boy was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in east Houston.
The incident took place around 9:00 p.m. Friday on Harbor Street. Officers responded to reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found the victim fatally shot in a vehicle.
Houston police say the victim had been with friends when he received a call from the suspect. The two got into an argument over the phone, which escalated. Moments later, the suspect showed up and fired into the vehicle where the victim was sitting.
An investigation is underway to find the suspect and determine what led to the shooting.
On Saturday, HPD sent KPRC 2 the following update on the situation:
HPD responded to a shooting call at 601 Harbor Street where they found a person unresponsive with a gunshot wound. The victim was on the phone prior to being shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. No updates have come in and no arrest have been made.
