Man shoots, kills man who was following him in Cypress

CYPRESS, Texas – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting in Cypress.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said it happened near the intersection of Highway 290 and Spring Cypress Road.

According to Gonzalez, a man approached another man for an unknown reason and kept following the man around the parking lot.

@HCSOTexas units responded to a shooting in NW Harris County at the 25900 blk of 290 & Spring Cypress. An adult male approached another male for unknown reasons. The initial male kept following the other around the parking lot. The male being followed

The man being followed retrieved a pistol and shot the man who was following him. The wounded man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gonzalez said the alleged shooter remained at the scene.
