Porch pirates are nothing new, but one Houston resident was in for a surprise when they checked their security footage and discovered an unexpected thief—a four-legged bandit with a taste for styrofoam.
A viewer reached out to the Click2Houston Help Desk with a story straight out of a comedy sketch. Like clockwork, they receive a monthly shipment of refrigerated medication from the VA. It usually arrives via FedEx in a styrofoam package filled with ice packs. However, this time, the package vanished before they could retrieve it—but not at the hands of a typical porch thief.

Instead, security footage revealed the culprit: a dog.
“I literally had to do a double take,” the viewer said. “It took me a minute to realize what was actually going on.”
The video, recorded by Arlo security cameras, shows two dogs sniffing around the doorstep. One of them locks in on the styrofoam box, chomps down, and takes off like it just found buried treasure.

The resident, who was out enjoying karaoke with friends, didn’t notice the delivery right away. By the time they checked their cameras after a night out, the package had mysteriously disappeared. A quick rewind of the footage revealed the mischievous pup making off with their precious cargo.

As for the missing medication? The dog’s whereabouts—and what it did with the package—remain a mystery. Hopefully, it didn’t mistake the ice packs for chew toys!
