One man is critical condition following a shooting in Southwest Houston

According to HPD, officers from the Southwest Patrol Division responded to a call about a shooting at a motel near 13900 Main Street on Saturday evening.

When officers arrived, they said they found a man with severe injuries and performed CPR until members of the Houston Fire Department arrived and took over. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

According to investigators the initial reported indicate that the victim got into a physical fight with another man when the suspect pulled a gun and shot him once. The identity of the suspect is currently unknown.

Officers said a dispute over an alleged theft may have led to the fight between the two men. This is an ongoing investigation.
