Harris County bomb squad discovered a dead cat in a box after calls about a suspicious item at Doss Park on Saturday.
Authorities responded to a call around 2:30 p.m. at 2500 Frick Road in northwest Harris County. Someone discovered a box, about the size of an adult shoebox, that felt unusually heavy.
After investigating, the bomb squad used robots to confirm there was a dead cat inside. The park was temporarily closed as a precaution while the scene was secured.
