Midtown – Houston Police are looking for the person who shot one man and pistol whipped another in Midtown.

Houston Police responded to reports of a shooting at Hadley and Milam street around 2 a.m. on Saturday.

When investigators arrived at the scene, they say they found one man with a gunshot wound to the upper torso and a second man with head injuries sustained from being pistol whipped.

Police said the two men were walking on Hadley and Milam street when they were approached by a man and two women who asked to borrow a phone.

Investigators said that is when the man discharged at least four rounds from a pistol. Police said the gunshots struck one of the victims and then the suspect hit the other man with his gun and stole his phone.

Investigators said the man and women left in a pick-up. Investigators are looking at surveillance video to identify the suspect.
