Law enforcement searching for man who escaped custody at hospital in Bellville

BELLVILLE, Texas – Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for a man who escaped the custody of the Waller County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office is looking for Salvador Saucedo. Authorities say he escaped from custody at around 7 p.m. while undergoing testing at Mid Coast Medical Center in Bellville.
He was last seen wearing an orange shirt and blue jeans. He also has red hair.
The Waller County Sheriff’s Office said Saucedo was being taken to jail to be booked, but the jail said he needed to be taken to a hospital first.
It is currently not known what Saucedo was being charged with.
The Austin County Sheriff’s Office said Saucedo is not handcuffed and it is not known whether he is armed or not.
Authorities are asking anyone who sees him to call the Waller County Sheriff’s Office at (979) 826-8282 or 911.
