HOUSTON – With drivers encouraged to stay off the roadways due to icy road conditions, Houston METRO announced it would be suspending bus services all of Tuesday.
According to METRO’s website and a post on X, “Local bus, Park & Ride bus, Community Connector microtransit and METRO curb2curb service are all suspended today. METRO HOV/HOT lanes are closed, METROLift is providing life-sustaining trips only, and METRORail service varies by line. Plans could change depending on weather conditions.”

The snowfall is expected to continue through Tuesday afternoon. In the meantime, dozens of roadways have also been shut down due to icy conditions. METRO will evaluate conditions before it announces plans for Wednesday.
