A year-long investigation has led to the largest drug bust ever recorded in Harris County Precinct One, deputies say. Five individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with the operation, which ran out of a small apartment complex.
Constable Alan Rosen and his team will provide further details about the investigation at 2 p.m. on KPRC 2+ including the methods used to dismantle the operation and the implications for public safety in the area.
This elaborate drug-trafficking operation was being run out of a small apartment complex, with multiple units serving as bases of illegal activity. The investigation uncovered a wide array of narcotics, including:
Methamphetamine
Cocaine
MDMA
Heroin
Mushrooms
Marijuana
Tusi (a pink powdery substance often referred to as “pink cocaine”)
In addition to the drugs, authorities seized 24 firearms. Some of these weapons were reported stolen, while others had their serial numbers removed in an apparent attempt to evade law enforcement tracking.
