1 hospitalized after 18-wheeler rollover on US 90 in E. Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The driver of an 18-wheeler has been taken to the hospital after a rollover crash on US 90 in the Sheldon-area of east Harris County Friday.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted on X that the crash happened in the 17500 block of US 90, near Sheldon Road.
The sheriff’s office told KPRC 2 a Lifeflight helicopter was requested, but the driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance instead.
All eastbound lanes are currently closed and traffic is being diverted through the grass to the westbound side of the highway.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
