Houston police and fire crews responded to the scene around 2:44 a.m. after receiving reports of a motorcycle down.

The rider was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at the scene. A sedan was also stopped in the lanes, but no additional injuries were reported.
During the investigation, inbound traffic was diverted onto I-10, causing significant delays through the early morning hours. Authorities have now completed their work, and all lanes have reopened to traffic.
This is a developing situation, and updates will be provided as more details become available.
