BACKGROUND: Man arrested in connection to sex assaults in W. Gulf Bank, but HPD believes second suspect involved in other attacks
Friday night, Houston Police Department announced on X that an arrest had been made in the investigation into at least five attacks in the West Gulf Bank area.
The suspect, identified as Jayden Jercoyus Demouchet, is charged with burglary of a habitation.
The arrest comes just days after 29-year-old Denzeill Sneed was arrested after being linked to two of the five reported attacks.
Although the five assaults were originally investigated as a search for a single serial predator, HPD officials announced that a search was underway for a second perpetrator after Sneed was taken into custody.
Police released this image of the second suspect, captured near one of the assaults in October:
