2 people detained after man killed near NW Houston store

Police are investigating the area near a store in northwest Houston after a man was shot and killed Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened at around 11:45 a.m. near Bingle Road and Millport Street.

A man was shot at least once and pronounced dead after being transported to a nearby hospital.

Authorities with the Houston Police Department are investigating the scene, and they tell us two people have been detained in connection with the shooting.
