Two people are in custody after police say they shot a man in west Houston

West Houston – According to Houston Police, a man was flagged down by a woman he knew along Westheimer around 9 p.m. on Saturday evening.

Investigators say the man got into the woman’s vehicle to speak with her. Investigators said there was armed man hiding in the backseat underneath of a blanket. Investigators say the two men got into a fight and the armed man started shooting, striking the other man in the leg. The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

According to police the two suspects turned themselves in.
