Man shot to death in Meyerland apartment where possible suspects were staying

HOUSTON – A man, 64, was found dead inside an apartment shot multiple times in Meyerland.

It happened at the Braeswood Plaza Apartments on Birdwood Road and South Atwell Drive at about 9 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses said they heard gunshots and saw a man and woman leave the apartment.

Police said the two stayed in the area and were quickly detained by officers.

“One of the individuals was supposedly staying with our complainant, the deceased male for a few days, so we don’t know if there’s something involving that,” said Houston Police Department Lt. R. Willkens.

Charges have not been filed.
