Ammunition, SWAT targets among $20K worth of stolen property recovered in NW Harris County

HOUSTON – Some serious stolen property worth thousands of dollars got into the wrong people’s hands but was recovered thanks to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable deputies.

According to Constable Mark Herman, officers were called to Northwest Fwy off Hwy 290 near Jersey Village after a witness spotted a trailer reported stolen earlier. Constable deputies were advised that the contents in the trailer were worth about $20,000, which included ammunition “and targets used to host SWAT training.”

Constable Herman says the thieves actually removed the ammunition but are looking to recover it as part of an ongoing investigation.

The rightful owner was also contacted and constable deputies were able to return the property to them.
