Officers find man shot to death inside townhome in Houston’s Fourth Ward

HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department says a man was found dead inside a townhome in Fourth Ward Wednesday evening.

It happened in the 1400 block of Cook Street at Wilson Street.

Police say they were called out to the townhome on a welfare check after family members were unable to reach the man. They arrived and found the front door unlocked.

When they went inside, they found the man dead with multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators are heading to the scene and will be looking for any witnesses or surveillance video.
