A man who disappeared while swimming at a lake in eastern Houston has been found dead, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
The search began after a man reported that his friend had jumped into Muleshoe Lake, located at the San Jacinto River, and never resurfaced.

Marine units with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and officials with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department were on the scene conducting the search.
Sheriff Gonzalez announced on X that the body has been recovered.
