Hundreds of flights canceled at Hobby, Bush Intercontinental Airport as Hurricane Beryl moves through Houston area (BUSH INTERCONTENTIAL AIRPORT)
HOUSTON – Hundreds of flights were canceled or delayed at Hobby and Bush Intercontinental Airport as Hurricane Beryl pushed through the SE Texas region.
As the storm approaches and people plan to stay indoors and safe from the storm, we want to remind everyone that our airports are not equipped to serve as storm shelters. We lack the supplies and staff to accommodate people seeking refuge during the storm. @iah@HobbyAirport

Hobby Airport officials also posted on X that airlines were canceling and adjusting flights.
Heads up, Houston! Due to #Beryl, our airline partners are canceling and adjusting flights. If you're flying out of Hobby, please check with your airline for the latest updates and rebooking options.
Around 1:30 p.m., airport officials reported that Will Clayton Parkway was impassable due to downed trees and debris.
Drivers in the area are urged to use JFK Blvd as an alternate route.
