Galveston Ferry back in service after temporary suspension due to high tide

The Galveston Ferry announced a temporary suspension of service due to high tide issues Wednesday morning.
At 10 a.m. Wednesday, the National Hurricane Center officially upgraded “Potential Tropical Cyclone 1″ in the southwest Gulf of Mexico to Tropical Storm Alberto. This development is expected to bring further weather-related challenges to the area.
Residents and travelers are advised to stay informed and follow updates from local authorities.
After being down for several hours, Galveston Ferry officially announced that it was back up and running Wednesday afternoon.
