PHOTOS: High tide brings coastal flooding to SE Texas as tropical system continues in Gulf

SURFSIDE BEACH, Texas – Coastal flooding is ongoing in several communities along the Texas coast as Potential Tropical Cyclone 1 continues to churn in the Gulf.
In Surfside Beach, the police department shared multiple photos of streets that have water over them due to the higher-than-normal tide.
The department also said the beach was closed due to the high tide.
Residents also shared photos of the higher-than-normal tide.
The forecast from the National Hurricane Center continues to call for a 2–4-foot surge of water as the system continues in the Gulf.
