A Houston-area parent has been detained by Harris County Constable deputies after two young children were left in a hot car.
Authorities responded to a call at the 10600 block of Jones Road in northwest Harris County, saying that two children were alone in a hot vehicle. The caller reported that the windows were “barely rolled down,” and the children were “sweating.”
After deputies arrived, the two children—ages 2 and 3—were safely removed from the sweltering vehicle. The parent has been detained while officials investigate the situation. EMS and fire officials were also called to the scene.
