Nearly 1,000 kids tryout for Houston Astros Foundation baseball league in Acres Homes
HOUSTON – The Houston Astros Foundation, which has been known to give back is continuing its efforts, this time near Acres Homes through its youth academy.
Over the past weekend, they hosted a summer tryout for their seasonal baseball league where nearly 1,000 boys and girls came out to compete.

The best part, the summer league through the Astros academy is free, free, free!
“I’m so used to paying!” Baseball parent, Andre Gaines said. “It’s free you’re right. Baseball is an expensive game.”
The league will run through the end of July as they look to train the next generation of baseball players.
