It happened on Galveston Rd., off Gulf Fwy near Hobby Airport a little after 8:15 p.m. when police say a silver vehicle was trying to make a left from Timber Creek Dr. onto Galveston. That’s when police said a truck, heading southbound on Galveston hit the silver vehicle, causing both cars to come to a stop more than 100 feet from the intersection.

According to Sgt. Griffiths with the Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division, there were two people in both respective vehicles, a driver and a passenger.

In the silver vehicle, Sgt. Griffiths said the occupants died at the scene, while in the truck, two other occupants believed to be between 17 - 19 years old, were taken to a hospital in unknown condition. No identities have been shared, as of this writing.

It’s unclear what factors (like speed) played a role in the crash, but an investigation remains underway.
