National Nurses Week 2024: Freebies and deals offered for nurses

Nurses often spend the most time with patients, and we cannot thank them enough for all they do.

This year’s National Nurses Week, which serves as an opportunity to recognize the commitment and hard work of nurses, is May 6-12. Restaurants and businesses in Houston are offering discounts and freebies to honor their contributions.

At Peter Piper Pizza, nurses can enjoy a complimentary personal pizza in-store every day from May 6 -10. Just show your valid nurse ID/credentials to redeem this offer, is limited to once per day.

On May 15, the Houston Astros will host a Nurse Appreciation Night with discounted tickets starting at $17.

The Sugar Land Space Cowboys want to thank all those in the medical industry with Nurse Appreciation Night on May 21. Medical staff receive a free lower bowl ticket and a discount on additional tickets with proof of medical email.

Nurses can receive a free Classic cookie from InsomniaCookies beginning May 6, with no purchase required. Valid ID is required; availability varies by location.

Buffalo Wild Wings is offering a special deal from May 6-12, where nurses can enjoy a 20% discount on their orders. Simply present a valid ID for dine-in, call-in, or walk-in orders to use this offer.

For the month of May, Skechers is offering nurses a 10% discount on all styles on their website. Valid ID or proof of employment is required.

With a valid ID, nurses and other healthcare workers can receive free burrito coupons from Chipotle. The sign-up period runs from May 6 - May 10 and winners will be chosen on May 14.

Nurses can take advantage of a 20% discount from May 7-12 at Comfort Foodie. The discounts is available to nurses with a valid professional ID.
