Details are still pouring in as it’s an active scene, but Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says it happened on Brownsville off I-10 near Cloverleaf. That’s where he says an unidentified man reportedly jumped a fence and onto a home “without authorization.”

A man at the home, the Sheriff says, shot the unidentified fence jumper, killing him. Investigators also say a second man was there, but is believed to have run away before deputies arrived.

No additional information has been shared, as of this writing, but an investigation remains underway.
