Teacher Appreciation Week 2024: Freebies and deals offered for educators

HOUSTON – Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10, a time to thank our favorite educators. Many businesses and restaurants around the Houston area will offer deals to show their appreciation.

To kick off the week, Shipley Do-nuts will offer a free half-dozen box of glazed do-nuts with any purchase on Monday

Buffalo Wild Wings is offering a special deal from May 6-12, where teachers and school staff can enjoy a 20% discount on their orders. Simply present a valid ID for dine-in, call-in, or walk-in orders to use this offer.

Whataburger is rewarding the hard work of all school employees when they show their school ID from 5 to 9 a.m., May 6 – 10. Teachers will be able to choose from a taquito, a breakfast on a bun or a honey butter chicken biscuit. They will also receive a free WhataTeacher Table Tent, while supplies last.

Teachers can take advantage of a 20% discount from May 7-10 at Comfort Foodie. The discounts is available to teachers with a valid professional ID.

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is celebrating Teacher’s Appreciation Day on May 7, by offering teachers a free small treat of their choice. Simply present a valid educational ID at the time of purchase to redeem this offer.

The Halal Guys are extending a special offer to teachers from May 8-10. Teachers can enjoy a 10% discount on their meals for in-store orders by presenting a valid teacher ID as proof.

Between May 4 and 11, Staples is giving away a free teacher supply kit to teachers with an ID.

From May 6-12, Six Ping is offering buy two, get one free on drinks and gelatos.

In honor of Teacher’s Appreciation Week, Salad and Go is offering free coffee with a purchase to educators during breakfast hours from May 8-10.

Get 20% off your entire bill at This Is It Soul Food May 7-10 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. On May 10, there will be karaoke and a teacher appreciation comedy night.

Stop by a Firehouse Subs for a week-long series of specials accessible through its Firehouse Rewards loyalty program and app starting May 6. Enjoy offers such as BOGO Hook & Ladder Subs on Wednesday, and on Friday, indulge in two medium sandwiches for $12 or two large sandwiches for $18.

McDonald’s is offering free breakfast for school teachers, administrators and staff across the Houston area from May 6-10. Teachers and staff will be required to show a valid school ID to enjoy the free breakfast of their choice, along with a medium premium roast or bold iced coffee.

TGI Fridays is showing appreciation for teachers on May 7, at participating locations by offering them a complimentary entrée. Teachers can choose from a selection of options including a cheeseburger with fries, a half rack of ribs with choice of side, or a Caesar salad with grilled chicken.

State Fare Kitchen & Bar is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week by giving all teachers a free entree and happy hour specials all day May 9. All three State Fare locations in Houston are offering this special discount. A valid ID or verification of service is required at the time of purchase to qualify for the free entree.

Zaxby’s is celebrating teachers on May 7 at participating locations where teachers can purchase one Boneless Wings Meal and receive a second one for free. This offer is redeemable through the Zaxby’s app or website for Zax Rewardz members, while supplies last.

Einstein Bros. Bagels will offer 20% gift cards for anyone who wants to treat their favorite teacher.

Be More Pacific is offering a free frozen cocktail with any purchase from May 7-12 in honor of Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Week. Just show your work badge and sip away!

Hat Creek Burger Company is showing appreciation for teachers and school staff by offering a complimentary 6-piece order of nuggets on Tuesday, May 7. Simply present a valid ID to claim this special offer.

Show your school ID at Melange Creperie and receive 20% off your order in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week.

At Peter Piper Pizza, teachers and nurses can enjoy a complimentary personal pizza in-store every day from May 6 -10. Just show your valid teacher or nurse ID/credentials to redeem this offer, limited to once per day.

At McAlister’s Deli, teachers and educators can enjoy a refreshing complimentary tea from May 6-12. Just show your badge or ID in-store to get this offer, and no purchase is necessary.

Salata Salad Kitchen is showing appreciation for educators on May 7, by offering teachers a 20% discount on their orders when they present their badges at checkout. Additionally, from May 6-10, teachers can enjoy a 20% discount on catering orders totaling $200 or more.

Teachers, nurses, and staff with a valid employee ID can get 15% off at Pollo Bravo from May 6-12.

Sonic Drive-In is rolling out special deals for educators enrolled in the Sonic Teachers’ Circle Rewards program from May 6-20. To join the rewards program, simply create an account in the Sonic app and select “I’m a teacher” in settings.
