Passengers flying into Houston got more action than they bargained for Friday evening, when their aircraft’s landing gear collapsed as they were landing in William P. Hobby Airport.
The malfunction occurred after the plane touched down on Runway 4. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, and all passengers were able to safely get off the plane.

One crew member on the plane suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The Public Information Office of Houston Airports and Spaceport released a statement regarding the collapse:
“All 31 people on board disembarked safely from the aircraft. One crew member was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The remaining persons were safely transported by bus to Wilson Aviation. FAA representatives are currently assessing the incident site on Runway 4. Once they release the scene, the aircraft will be removed. We will continue to provide updates as they became available.”
