3 people found dead at SW Houston home in believed double murder-suicide

HOUSTON – Three people have been found dead at a home in southwest Houston Monday evening.

HPD says they were called just after 7 p.m. to a home at 4914 Danfield Drive for a welfare check.

They arrived and spoke to neighbors who said they heard gunshots at a nearby home.

Officers went to the home and breached a locked front gate. When they went to the backyard, they found a man and woman, believed to be in their late 60s, dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Officers also breached a locked door which was a garage apartment connected to the house. Inside, they found the body of a 23-year-old man. They believe he was the shooter and recovered a gun.

The relationship between the three individuals is not known at this time, but police believe they were family members.
