HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Klein ISD confirms a cosmetology teacher at Klein Cain High School has been arrested and is facing felony charges of sex trafficking and compelling prostitution.

In a letter sent out to families with students at Klein Cain, Principal Lauren Marti and Klein ISD Police Chief Marlon Runnels said cosmetology teacher Kedria Grigsby was taken into custody for the charges.

“As soon as we were notified of this information, the district took immediate action, apprehended, and immediately placed Ms. Grigsby on administrative leave. Klein ISD has NO intention of allowing this individual back to Klein Cain or any Klein ISD school, and we will report to all appropriate agencies at the conclusion of the investigation,” the letter read.

Shortly after the letter was sent out, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez provided more information on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Gonzalez said Grigsby is charged with three counts of trafficking a child and three counts of compelling prostitution of juveniles.

Gonzalez said there were three victims in the case, a 15-year-old, 16-year-old, and 17-year-old who were reported runaways. He said it appears Grigsby had helped her son, Roger Magee, who was arrested in November 2022 for the trafficking of children and compelling prostitution.

“It appears Grigsby recruited troubled juveniles from local high schools by offering them a place to stay, which would be a hotel. Additional teen victims have come forward stating that Grigsby was also attempting to recruit them while attending school,” Gonzalez said.
