Suspect opens fire on car in SE Houston, resulting in two injuries

Houston Police are investigating an incident in southeast Houston that resulted in two victims being shot while driving their vehicle.

The victims were driving in the 8500 block of Broadway at 10 p.m. on Friday when a suspect opened fire at their car for unknown reasons. The driver lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree.

The 16-year-old passenger fled the scene but returned with a gunshot wound to his torso. The adult male driver was transported to Ben Taub in critical condition and is not expected to survive. The juvenile has been listed in stable condition.
