Woman in critical condition after vehicle leaves FM 2920, strikes tree in NW Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Officials say a woman is in critical condition after a vehicle struck a tree in northwest Harris County Sunday.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said it happened on Waller-Tomball Road at Pine Tree Lane. This is near Cypress-Rosehill in the Hockley area.
The sheriff’s office said it appears the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree head on.
A woman, reportedly in critical condition, is being taken to the hospital by a medical helicopter.
Lanes of the roadway are being shut down.
