Doubling down: Mattress Mack places another $1 million on UH ahead of Cougars’ March Madness debut🤑🏀

HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Cougars are one of the most popular picks to win the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. They’re the top seed in the South Region, and Mattress Mack has bought in—again!

Back in February, Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, the owner of the Houston-based Gallery Furniture franchise, wagered $1 million on the Cougars to win the tournament championship at +750 odds, meaning he will take home $7.5 million if Houston wins.

Today, he placed an additional $1 million down at the same odds. So now, he has a total of $2 million on the line with a potential $15 million payout if the Coogs hang their first banner in program history. His first wager was with Caesar’s Sportsbook, and his second was with DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Cougars will begin their tournament campaign against Longwood on Friday at 8:20 p.m. CST on TNT, and it’s safe to assume Mack will be watching!
