Bayou City Art Festival

March 23-24, at 10 a.m. at Downtown 1000 Bagby, Houston

Each year, the Bayou City Art Festival takes place in spring, offering a chance to immerse in Houston’s artistic spirit. With 300 artists showcasing their creations across 19 diverse categories, the festival unfolds at Sam Houston Park. Festival attendees can expect an array of attractions, including a food truck park, multiple entertainment stages, craft beer and wine gardens and activities for all ages.

Urban Harvest Farmers Market 20th Anniversary

March 23 at 8 a.m. at 2752 Buffalo Speedway, Houston

During this 20th anniversary celebration, marketgoers at the Urban Harvest Farmers Market will be treated to an array of family-friendly activities. From on-site face painting and caricature artist to the opportunity to kickstart their own green journey with starter plant giveaways, attendees will find something for everyone. The first 200 visitors will also receive complimentary tote bags and the festivities will feature a special chef demonstration by Benchawan “G” Jabthong, a recipient of the James Beard Award and the creative genius behind Street to Kitchen.

Heights Kids’ Day of Music

March 23 at 10 a.m. at Love Park, 1000 W. 12th St., Houston

The Heights Kids’ Day of Music is a music festival dedicated to nurturing children’s enduring passion for music and the arts. Embracing a commitment to local talent, the event promises 100% local entertainment. Hermann Park Conservancy Kite Festival

April 7, at 10 a.m at Miller Hill and Jones Reflection Pool, Houston

Hermann Park Conservancy’s annual Kite Festival is gearing up to offer a day filled with kite-flying and festivities in Hermann Park. Attendees can look forward to live music, a DJ, interactive games, face painting, and more.

Houston Art Car Parade

April 13, at 11 a.m. along Allen Parkway & Smith Street, Houston

The Houston Art Car Parade is the celebration of art cars and the largest free public art display in Houston. Now marking its 36th year, this parade draws in more than 250 uniquely decorated vehicles and participants hailing from 23 states, including Canada and Mexico. The start of this free parade begins at the intersection of Dallas and Bagby Streets on Allen Parkway, proceeding towards Downtown before encircling City Hall and then continuing outbound on Allen Parkway until its conclusion at Waugh Drive. Enthusiastic crowds numbering 300,000 eagerly await the quirky vehicular displays and will commence its colorful procession from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

KPRC 2 Crawfish Fest
