Last week, deputy constables conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of FM 1960 at approximately 9:45 p.m. on a vehicle that was previously involved in a prior mail theft.

Savoie and Matthews then gave deputies fake names and dates of birth.

The pair are convicted felons, and Savoie had been out on bond for unauthorized absence from a community corrections facility.

Deputies later searched their vehicle and found credit cards, mail from 81 addresses, several fraudulent temporary Texas driver’s licenses, checks, and personal identifying information of different people.

This incident is still being investigated.
